PRE-DRIVER ROAD SAFETY FORCE
DESCRIPTION:
Before receiving a driver's
license, very little is taught to our youth about traffic safety and the rules
of the road. This first course will help health educators bridge this gap in
teaching (1) road user safety and (2) seat belt safety to pre-drivers (youth
ages 11-14). Attendees of the class will be given a teaching toolkit,
including: two lesson plans, two powerpoint/keynote presentations with
accompanying presentation notes, suggested group/class activities as well as
traffic safety tips. This course will help students be better passengers,
roadway users and future drivers.
